On the 15th day of the third Tibetan month of the Wood Dragon year – the momentous holy day that marks the first teaching of the Glorious Kālacakra Tantra – or, by the international calendar, on the 23rd of April 2024, in Kagyu Samye Ling Monastery in Lubumbashi, in the Congo, Africa, Drupon Khen Rinpoche Karma Lhabu, together with the deputy abbot of Kagyu Samye Ling Monastery in Scotland, Lama Katen, and three fully ordained western monks, or bhikṣús, conferred ordination upon forty boys and men.
